The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December.
Read our blog post for more info about this change.
Where do I find current contests? How do I create a contest?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Contests are created by a team at Instructure or are organized by the Community Team. It's a great way for Community Members to share their expertise and/or experience and learn from others.
@LynnCagle - What type(s) of Contests would you like to see in the Community in the coming months?
I’m not sure what contests you would be referring to. I am not aware of any contests being held here in the Canvas Community website. Might these contests be something that are being held at your school instead?
Contests such as these. It's under the "confident" badge in the community user profile--Bamboo Garden.

Hmmm.....well, I'm brand new to Canvas, so I was just exploring and trying to find a contest to enter as a trial/test. So maybe an orientation contest?
That's really good feedback!
It may take some time to build, but I can see a "Welcome to the Community!" contest being perfect while schools gear up for new semesters.
If you're new, there are some great free learning opportunities! (...I know, they're not Contests, but they're still great places to start.)
