[ARCHIVED] Duplicating Quizzes

I am recently experiencing difficulty with duplicating quizzes.  I have copied a quiz, imported it fresh from my master shell, exported and imported but every time I do it it changes the name of the quizzes before it or deletes quizzes.  Am so frustrated!

I apologize that you were having difficulty duplicating quizzes in Canvas. 

Were you able to resolve this issue yet? If not, were you trying to do this using the Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes engine? 

HERE is our guide on duplicating quizzes that are utilizing the New Quizzes engine. 

For classic quizzes the is not a way to easily duplicate them in your course. However, you should be able to export the quiz into a QTI file, and then import that quiz back into the course using the QTI import option. Was this the method you were using when you tried to import the quiz back into the course? it sounds like it might be overwriting the quiz information, which can happen if content is imported into a course more than once. 

If needed, you can always try to submit a case to Canvas support to have them look into this issue further for you.

How do you stop the duplication? It isn't with every quiz, however it has begun to increase the number of duplicates. 

 It feels as if it is making Canvas feel sluggish.
