Hi John,

Could you please be a little more specific about what you are asking about?  Canvas has inbox messaging which is designed to allow people to send simple messages back and forth within Canvas.  You can access these messages from the Inbox in your global navigation when logged into Canvas.  Many people also have Canvas notifications sent to their external email.  You can update your notification settings by accessing Settings in your Canvas profile.  Does this answer your question?
