Hi e.doyle. The response @bneporadny posted is right on and how I would often suggest moving material from one individual to another. I thought I would mention that another way to move content from one person to another is through using the Canvas Commons. If permitted at your institution, you can share a course or assignment to the Commons (see How do I share a resource to Commons?) and make this available to everyone using Canvas or just your institution. Then others can find this resource and import it into their courses (How do I import and view a Commons resource in Canvas?). We use the Commons over regular course exports if we wish to share material (or updates to that material) with large numbers of others. For example, we have a number of assignments that one of our First Year Experience instructor creates on the Commons because it is downloaded by the other 18 instructors also teaching sections of the course. This saves time compared to frequently sharing course export files with many other instructors.
All the best and good luck!
