[ARCHIVED] Finding my students' assignment submissions

This is my first semester using Canvas with my students.   I have them submitting assignments online.  When I open up that assignment will those students who have submitted their work appear on that page as done, or do I need to download to see who has completed their assignments.? 

Also can I just edit their assignments adding my comments and return for their review ?

Welcome to the Canvas Community!

I would recommend using the Canvas Speed Grade to view your student submissions.

You will see submissions in the Grade Book as well.

Hi  @drs12140  Welcome to the Canvas Community and welcome to Canvas!

 @Robbie_Grant  's answer was spot-on, but one other great feature in Canvas is that when students submit, you are notified in the To-Do list that you have grading to do for the assignment listed. When you click on that notice, it pops you right into SpeedGrader, and on the first student's submission.

Life is good in Canvas!
