[ARCHIVED] Having trouble adding an observer to my course.

The error message says "We were unable to find matches below."  This is a brand-new observer I am trying to add.

Does your institution use Canvas or are you using FFT?

If this person is brand-new (and not registered as a user in the system), it may require that they create an account first.

Kristin, we use Canvas.  I do not know what FFT is.  The person I am trying to add is a teacher in another school district.  Her district uses Canvas as well.

FFT is "Free for Teacher" -- the free version available for teachers, without having to be part of a larger organization.

I would reach out to your Canvas Administrator for help with adding this observer. Even though this person has Canvas, they'll need a log-in specific to your district. Your district may also have guidelines on who can join (ie: only family of students or other in-district employees), so it would be a great starting point.
