I would like students to create graphs in their responses (plotting points and graphing functions mainly). I've found ways to insert a graph as a part of the question but not to have students graph their response. Any ideas?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I've had students (on their own) embed Desmos graphs in essay questions. It's been a few years ago and I can't remember if they did it through an image, an embed code, or a link to the Desmos site, but I think all three are possible.

Desmos is not really a solution to the students graphing the lines. The students need to be able to graph. Desmos allows students to type in a function and magically get a line. Students are tested on their ability to graph a line so we need to see if they can successfully find the y-intercepts and apply a slope to graph a line, use the x- and y-intercepts to graph a line, graph a system of equations to find the systems solution. Having Desmos do it for them does not help.
We need be be able to have Canvas allow this. It can be done through Mastery apparently.
