[ARCHIVED] How do I create modified assignments for SPED students?

I would like for an assignment to show up the same in gradebook with the same title, but I need to modify the assignment for my SPED students.

Everyone (minus SPED) receives assignment A

SPED receives assignment A-modified

It shows up the same in the gradebook but is actually two different assignments.

Hello,

There isn't a way for you to have two separate assignments be reflected in the same gradebook column.  However, you could provide multiple sets of instructions for the same assignment and/or give accommodations including longer times for quiz taking and additional attempts.  In this instance are you planning to have students upload their work to the assignment or how will they 'turn in' their work?  How will what is required of the sub-set of student be different from what the other students must do?
