I administered a quiz yesterday that opened at the start of the day, and closed at the end. CANVAS recorded all quiz submissions and graded the quizzes. Then this morning a had a new student who enrolled in the class and asked if she could take the quiz. I modified the date of the quiz in the quiz setting and sent the quiz back out but just to her so that she could complete it today. When I looked to see if she completed the quiz, she did and her grade and quiz were recorded, but everyone else's grades and quiz submissions have disappeared. How do I get these back.....
I appreciate your help!

What I believe happened is that when giving this new student a different due date, you un-assigned the quiz to everyone else. Make sure that the Due dates section in the Quiz Edit page says "Everyone" instead of just the new student's name.

I read from this reply that when you don't include "everyone else" in your quiz modification you lose everyone who already submitted. In my case, i modified the due date for 2 students for a midterm and lost the other 20.
Obviously, I need that first wave of submissions that were due on the due date before the modification. How can I get them?
Thank you
