I want to archive old classes and remove them from my main Dashboard

Ha!  That is a bit ironic, isn't it.  However, if you look at the link that takes you to the notice about the page being archived, there is a heading called "What if I lose access to something I need?".  Under that heading, there is a link to a form where you can request that the archived link be restored.  The Community Team would then receive your request, and hopefully you'd be able to soon see that page again.
