It seems like the equivalent of "treat missing grades as zero" doesn't work in the new version.
I've tried to input 0 for "Grade percentage for missing submissions" but it doesn't seem to take. It certainly has no effect on the grade.

@parkc , greetings! This setting should be working. I personally use it in all of my courses and it seems to be working fine. I'd double-check what you are doing per this guide - How do I apply a Missing Submission policy in the Gradebook? - and if you are doing this and still having problems, then you'd want to report this to Canvas Support. To do this, click on the Help link in Canvas and "Report a Problem."

Thanks for your reply.
I followed this procedure at the beginning of the semester when I first saw
that this feature had been changed. I followed the steps in the link that
you provided.
It still makes no difference in the grades. In other words, I can't get it
to work.
Best,
Chris P.

I am having the same problem. I can set the missing grades to 100%, but I cannot set them to 0% or anything other than 100%. Now I am stuck with all the missing grades at 100% and can't get rid of the score.
