My students will use Canvas on ipads. Is there anyway to have Canvas open student apps (like Spelling City, Seesaw, etc) instead of always opening the programs in safari or web browser. I have look for this information everywhere and have not found much about Canvas on ipads. Thanks, Debbie

Hi Debbie Cathey,
Unfortunately, this isn't possible from the Canvas Student app. In fact, it's not easy for most apps to open other apps because it would take coordination, not just with Canvas, by with each developer to build a URL scheme to open the apps. This is also more complicated when you consider Android apps as well. The best solution at this point is to make sure the app is downloaded on the device and prompt students to close the Canvas Student app and open the other app.
