[ARCHIVED] How to post a grade for just one student

I'm in the midst of grading a large assignment for my students using a rubric. Because I grade the assignments in chunks, I decided to keep the grades hidden. I have partially graded all of my students' assignments and fully graded only a couple of my students' assignments. Tomorrow, I am conferencing with the students for whom I have fully graded assignments. How do I post their grades without releasing all of the grades?

Bottom line is that you cannot do this in Canvas.

Grade posting policies can be set at the course level or the assignment level, but not at the student level, You will need to, as you've already done, manually calculate those grades and manually share them with the appropriate students.

If you would like to see Canvas set grade posting policies down to the student level, you should create a new Idea Conversation in this Canvas Community.
