Sometimes, depending on how an image was embedded or uploaded to a course, that old URL association will make an image "disappear" or become unavailable to students in the current course. Based on the information provided, it would be best to speak with you directly and get specifics in this situation. Are there multiple <a> tag anchors being targeted perhaps and what exactly is the source of the JQuery code here? One easy way to tell the difference is if you are in edit mode, click on the image itself and go to "image options." It will give you the URL associated with the image and we can quickly tell if it is part of an older course or not. Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:
