I was trying to teach my team how to change the gradebook settings from sorting assignments by name to sorting them by the date submitted. I cannot find the place to do this in the new speedgrader.

Hi  @mashmc  

that is not a gradebook setting; but rather, only a SpeedGrader setting.  This guide will show you how, but it really is rather simple How do I sort the student list in SpeedGrader? 

• Open the assignment in SpeedGrader,
• Click on the gear icon on the far left,
• Choose Options,
• Use the dropdown menu for "Sort Student List".
