[ARCHIVED] New Quizzes Item Banks/Question Banks

I have created several New Quizzes in Canvas.  When adding the first question to each quiz, I also created a new Item Bank to put the question in.  Then, I assigned all questions in the quiz to that Item Bank.  I followed the same procedure for the other quizzes.  I want to pull questions from these individual quizzes into the Module Post-Assessment.  But none of the Item Banks I created show up when I search for them either in Item Banks or Question Banks.  I can still see the individual quizzes but can't see the Banks from where I am hoping to be able to copy questions into the Post-Assessment.

Hi @clawdette,

I wanted to start off by sharing a resource with you that might help, take a look the guide for adding questions from an Item Bank in to New Quizzes.

You might end up having to search for the Item Bank by name when adding if you have access to your school/organization's Item Bank at the account level. You can also toggle the banks that display between course, institution, or all my banks.

We are experiencing the same issue and when searching for the item bank, it does not appear as an option even though the questions in the quiz are showing that they are in fact associated with that item bank. We had to go into an old course, find the item banks, and then share each one with the new course. 

Why don't the item banks come over with the quiz when importing?

Hi @JeffW - I'm having the same issue, and when I search for the item bank by name- even when I've copied the name from the original item bank, and then went to copy a question into that bank- the item bank is not there. I have full admin privileges and can't figure out why I can't find these banks which I know exist because I have them open in another tab.
