[ARCHIVED] Opening files in Canvas using Firefox

While using Canvas on Firefox, every time I click to download a file I get the popup "You have chosen to open:..."  Each time I tell Firefox that it should automatically open the file with a specific program (my pdf reader for example).  I've checked the settings in Firefox's Options and they are fine.  However, I get this popup every time.  Is this a Canvas or a Firefox issue?  I don't have this problem in Chrome.  It's one of those constant annoyances.

Hi Cmitchell, 

I did a quick Google search for this type of error and it does appear to be a problem with Firefox.  I would recommend Chrome or Micrsoft's Edge (The new version of Edge is actually very nice.)

Sadly, I have add-ons that I need to use with Firefox and it's the recommended browser of our IT department.  Thanks for looking.
