[ARCHIVED] Phasing out Flash player

I use Canvas free for teacher with one group of students, and also an institutional Canvas account with another group, and recently the institutional account got a thorough update but the free-for-teacher account didn't - it still looks and works the same as ever.

I'm concerned about ongoing functionality of the free-for-teacher account when Adobe phases out Flash player at the end of this year. Does anybody know if the recent update of the institutional Canvas was to phase out Flash, and does anybody know whether this is going to happen on free-for-teacher?

I don't think that canvas uses flash player.

We periodically update FFT to reflect the settings that most people who might use more than one instance of Canvas might see most commonly.  So if a setting is optional and a few institutions have turned it on, we won't do so in FFT.  But, when that feature goes to default on for everybody we will.  Does that make sense?  If you do see something that doesn't seem to be working as it should, please do let us know.
