Canvas and Mastery are experiencing issues due to an ongoing AWS incident. Follow the status at AWS Health Dashboard and Instructure Status Page
One of my teachers has set various availability times for a quiz which he for each of his class periods. The Assign to everyone option always shows up and he thinks that some students are accessing the test early. We aren't sure if it is due to this Assign to everyone option still showing up even after we delete and save. Is this what is causing it, or is there something else we need to look at?

Hi Leslie,
I made a video that explains how to setup a Canvas Quiz with Differentiated Availability. That should answer your question, but feel free to reply back if you need a little more help

Deactivated user, is this this screen shot from @lhenson ? Were you able to figure out the problem or is it still an issue?
Hello Kona,
This is the screen shot from Leslie.
Thanks Deactivated user! Were you able to answer her question or is she still having problems? Also, do we know if "01-Vargus" is a student or a section?

Leslie, it could be that some of your students are in the course, but not in a specific class or period.
If you open up a quiz and go into SpeedGrader, it will tell you the exact time that the student submitted the test. If this time is *outside* of the timeframe for the class, then you know that they are A) not placed in the right class and therefore B) accessing the the material outside of class time.
I would suggest making the timeframe for "everyone else" a very small one, like 3:00 a.m. to 3:01 a.m. and make sure that it's in Respondus Lockdown or that they can't see the answers. In the meantime, it shouldn't be too tough to see which group the student is enrolled in. Just go to people and their groups are right by their name, as illustrated below.
