[ARCHIVED] Quiz Question Restrict File Type

I need to create an assessment in which students are to upload multiple files of specified types. I also need a place

for them to submit some text, preferable not as another file.

I'm pretty sure I can only do this as a quiz, because assignments only let one file to be uploaded, in other words, only have one question. My plan then is to create a file upload question for each file they need to submit.

So, I can see where to create an new question and where to specify it as a "file upload" question.

But i absolutely cannot find any button to restrict the the file type.

Unfortunately, you cannot restrict the file type in File Upload question type.

As a side note, Assignments do allow students to upload multiple files to a single submission: How do I upload a file as an assignment submission in Canvas? 

Add Another File

If you need to upload another file, click the Add Another File link.

Note: You can only upload additional files from your computer.

ok. one more question, can they resubmit an assignment?

students often submit something and then immediately see a typo and then want to resubmit, before the due date.

I'll jump in here so that you can get your answer quicker......................

Yes, students can resubmit an assignment, right up through the end of its availability time. Students will only be able to see their most recent submission, but as faculty, you can see and interact with all of the student's submissions.

I know 'Classic Quizzes' do not allow restriction of file types, but work with Proctorio.

'New Quizzes' allow restriction of file types, but do NOT work with Proctorio. Right?
