How do I migrate quizzes from blackboard to canvas
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Rosemary,
Canvas does a pretty good job of importing quiz content from Blackboard. It's been a few years since I worked with Bb at all, but here are the approximate steps as I remember them.
In Blackboard fine the area to export course content. I believe you'll have the option to select what to export, so just choose the quizzes you want an no other course content. Download and save the exported Zip file (if you are on a Mac using Safari, be careful because it tends to automatically unzip the file. You need it to remain a zip file.)
Now in Canvas go to your course, click Settings, and then Import Course Content. From the dropdown list for Content type select Blackboard 6,7,8,9 Export Zip File. Select the file from your computer and then select All Content (assuming you didn't export your entire Bb Course. If so use the Select Specific Content option). Click Import.
