Hello,

My child and I are still getting announcements and info from a prior MCPS school. How do we remove the old school from the Canvas account?

It sounds like your account at the prior MCPS school is still active and some notifications are coming through. Without being able to take a look at the account, here are a few things you can do about this. 

• Do you know if you still have access to the prior MCPS school account? If so, you can try to mute the notifications for that account. HERE is a guide on how to manage notifications preferences in Canvas. For any notifications you no longer want to be alerted too, you would want to select the Notifications off option on any preferences you wish to halt. 
• I am not sure if you are still using the account from the Prior MCPS school, but you can also try to contact the Canvas admin for the prior MCPS school to see if they can mark the Canvas account as deleted or inactive.
