One of our larger majors uses Respondus to upload their tests and quizzes to Canvas. They have been using the old Quizzes tool because we were told that Respondus does not work with New Quizzes.
With the old Quizzes being deprecated in February, will Respondus now work with New Quizzes?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@debbie_ellis As of the July 2020 product release, Respondus LockDown Browser is now supported in New Quizzes. https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Releases/Canvas-Release-Notes-2020-07-18/ta-p/263083
Thanks, but I'm not looking at Lockdown Browser. The original product from Respondus is called "Respondus," and it is a quiz-building tool plus a tool you can use to import your built quizzes into Canvas. This is related to the Respondus QTI.
Fair enough, and some good points. I was observing that it is deprecated in February 2021 with the end of life being July 2021. The "Upcoming Canvas Changes" page in the community suggests that deprecated tools should no longer be used (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Releases/Upcoming-Canvas-Changes/ta-p/254349). However, I started asking about Respondus about a year ago and even talked to our Respondus rep.
Nothing has happened, so I guess I need to be patient. Your suggestion about using the QTI is a good one.
