[ARCHIVED] Sharing a Canvas Calendar with a colleague

I entered all the PTO events on my HR calendar. I want to share that calendar with colleagues so they don't have to enter the same information but are able to share it with parents in their homeroom. How do I do that?

Hi Amie -

It may take a few steps, but I think it may be possible.

If you export your course (How do I export a Canvas course?‌) and then share that file with your colleague, they'll be able to import PART of that course (How do I import a Canvas course export package?‌) ...and then select only calendar events. (How do I select specific content as part of a course import?‌)

Do you have access to a beta instance? (What is the Canvas beta environment?) Many schools do! if you type in www.[yourintitution].beta.instructure.com, you log in to a "practice space" that doesn't affect the courses where students and observers are enrolled. You could try it there and make sure that you get the end-result you need!
