Does anyone use special permissions or user profiles for your college's research department? I'd like to know what permissions you would think are important for these groups.
Thanks,
Claudia

Hi @ClaudiaZysk
I am retired now, but we used all sorts of custom designed roles with specific permissions depending on the access needs and uses of the users.
Not knowing what you have planned for those roles, all I can do is point you to the Admin Guides....... Roles and Permissions
Good luck,
Kelley

Thanks Kelley. I appreciate it. I was wondering specifically about research departments in higher education. Not sure what permissions would be useful to them.
Thanks,
Claudia
@ClaudiaZysk I think it would depend on what the research department is there for, are they researching the courses and their content? That would then determine the permission level.
Our research department has nothing to do with our Canvas courses and thus does not have any access to them.

@nwilson7 thanks Nick. You are totally right and I will ask that question internally.
