[ARCHIVED] Spring Courses

I am trying to add modules and course content to a spring 2020 course, but when I click on the 'modules' link nothing comes up (and no link to add a file).  Same with the 'files' link.  Is it not possible to work on a spring course in the fall semester?

Hi Louisa,

There should not be a reason other than a policy specific to your school that would keep you form working on a course for the Spring 2020 term while the Fall term is still going on. 

When course shells are first created in Canvas they are blank and content has to be copied into them. Whether that's by you, a canvas administrator at your school or someone else. Here is a link about how to copy content from one course to another (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12935-415257077 ). You should be able to do this yourself unless your school has removed that ability from instructors and rely on admins or instructional designers to populate the new course with information.
