Is there a way for students to receive a notification if I reassign something to them? Just found out none of them knew that I had reassigned it and thought it just hadn't been graded.

Hello @kristina_tollef
It does not seem that students receive a notification when something is reassigned to them at this time. You can also see at the bottom of the guide here what the student view looks like when something is reassigned to them. I would also encourage you to submit your ideas to the Canvas Idea Conversations.

Hi, Jeff. While your student guide does indicate that students will see the reassigned item on their dashboards, I worked with a student today to test this out, and even when we purposely reassigned something to her, the dashboard "to do" item never appeared. As such, it would seem that unless a student was told to resubmit something, there would be no way for them to know, since the guide's information is inaccurate and there is no notification. Can we make this a priority?
I would also love for reassigned assignments to have their own color in the gradebook because I too keep clicking on the same thing, thinking I haven't graded it yet but it is sitting in reassigned status.
