[ARCHIVED] Substitute Teacher User

We are a K-12 school district just getting ready to roll with Canvas this school year and we would like to set up a substitute teacher user.  Have any other districts established this role?  If so, do you have any recommendations for the permissions we should or should not set?

I'm wondering if you'd mind me moving this question over to the K-12 group here in the Canvas Community.  There are over 400 people in that group, and I'm thinking you might have better luck there getting an answer.  If you are not a part of that group, I would recommend joining.  Please let me know if this is ok with you...thanks!

Hi  @ksauber ​ we don't normally give substitutes access to Canvas. However, for resident substitutes and long term substitutes we do. I would recommend giving them TA or Teacher level access, whatever one you feel most comfortable with.
