Hello,
Is there a way to set the default grade posting policy to manually posting grades for the whole system?
Most teachers in our school like to give grades without posting them at the same time. I know it's simple for a teacher to change the grade posting policy for her/his course (or assignment) but that is something many teachers forget or don't know about.
Thanks in advance,
Kris

Hi @kriol
Unless something has changed since I retired a year ago, the default for grade-posting is already manual, and teachers must apply a posting policy themselves if desired. It is likely that if teachers are finding their posting policies set differently, then another instructor made that change prior to the course being copied into the next term.
The flowing chart can be found in How do I use Posting Policies in a Course?, and could be very useful for your faculty......
I hope this is helpful,
Kelley

Hi, Kelley and thank you for your answer.
I found out that our blueprint for courses was set to post grades automatically, at least I hope that is the cause.
Thanks,
Kristbjörg
IT actually seems that the default for the account is that grades posting policy is set to automatic. I'd like to be able to control the account default and have this set to Manual rather than having to go in and change each course. I don't see a toggle, control to change the account.
