[ARCHIVED] Too many assignments

I have too many assignments in my 'assignment' tab and they will not load and my tab freezes, I am trying to delete them.

Any suggestions without resetting the course?

How many is "too many"?  Have you tried reaching out to the folks at the Canvas Help Desk to see if they can look at your account and your course to see if there is anything they can do to help?  How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? - Canvas Community

I have a teacher in the same boat.  Did you find a solution for this?

Happening with one of our teachers as well. Not sure if too many assignment groups (58) or assignments (700+). There is no documentation or warning on this potential error. 

This is an elementary course created by the SIS. Elementary teachers want to combine all subject/course work into one course shell. 

Any ideas on how to recover from this error?
