@nathanatkinson @Stef_retired Mayday! How do I undo a blueprint sync? Or if I can't undo a sync, is there a cached version of the 58 personalized homepages my instructors just lost? Even though they'd personalized after I blueprinted 1st time, this new sync overrode that. Trying to retrieve pages, & why did it override personalizations?
There is no way to undo a blueprint sync. However, if the content you synced wasn't locked or if instructors created it themselves in their courses, it shouldn't have been affected by the blueprint sync (as noted in this guide: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Admin-Guide/How-do-I-sync-course-content-in-a-blueprint-course-as... ). I recommend contacting our Canvas Support team for help troubleshooting why your sync would have overwritten content.
As far as pages, you should be able to view page history (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-view-the-history-of-a-page-in-a-course/... ) to restore previous page versions (assuming their content was created in a page). If not, you can contact our Canvas Support team to have any deleted or overwritten content restored.
Thanks,
- Nathan
Thanks @nathanatkinson. I've never contacted Canvas Support directly--can you point me in the right direction please?
@gulick_24 General instructions for contacting Canvas Support are in How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? (essentially the same for an admin): click on the Help link in the global navigation and follow the support pathway designated by your school.
