[ARCHIVED] Where do I go in Canvas to create rubrics ahead of time?

Where do I go in Canvas to create rubrics that I want to use later? I am not ready for them yet so do not want to create an assignment for them quite yet. However, the creation takes time, so I want to be able to have them in my rubric bank for when I need them later.

Hi  @michael_lutz  Welcome to the Canvas Community, and it is great you are thinking this way!  Rubrics can take a lot of time to build up, and doing them just when creating an assignment is not always ideal.  

Rubrics "live" in the menu item called Outcomes within each Canvas course site.  You can can create them here, and the online Instructor's Guide has you covered.  Start here:  How do I manage rubrics in a course? and proceed from there by clicking the link after Next Topic at the bottom of the page.  That will cover everything you need to know about doing them ahead of time and then adding one to an assignment later.
