I can see several different names on my course (see pictures). The list says one name, but when I enter the course settings, I see two other names. How do I change the name in the first picture (Alströmer 21/22)?

I don't think moving the course to different subaccounts would affect this. Given what you've shared, I think it's the nickname causing the issue. I just did a bit of testing and can confirm that if you set a nickname on the dashboard course card, it does show up in the admin course search too. You should be able to remove the nickname right from your dashboard course card and then everything would go back to normal.

Good question so far. I don't know much about this issues. But I hope someone might help you here. All the best!
Hi @henric,
Are you using Canvas cloud-hosted, or your own hosting environment? For me in the cloud environment, the name shown on the admin search page (your first screenshot) matches the first field on the course settings page. If you're suing a custom-hosted environment, it's possible someone tweaked a setting somewhere that's interfering. If you're using Instructure-hosted Canvas, I'd guess maybe a caching issue. The only other thing that I wonder about is if you're actually enrolled in the course and set a custom name for it on your dashboard. I don't think the admin page would pull the custom name, but it's worth a shot to ask.

Thanks for the reply!
I THINK it's because I created the course in my main account and when the course was there I put a nickname on it (I am the admin for our Canvas).
Then I created a sub-account and moved this course there. The course is also associated with a template course (blueprint). This was the first course I created and then moved to a sub-account. All other courses that are created directly in the sub-accounts do not have this problem. So I suspect it has something to do with it. What do you think?
However, I have tried to move the course to the main account and change the name of that one and delete any nicknames but without success. Perhaps the easiest way is to finish it and create a new one with the same content, move students over and associate it with the template course?
