I need to move my course from one Canvas platform (Elsevier's) to a different Canvas platform (our school Canvas). How do I do that? Can I export/import from one Canvas platform to another?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You sure can, you will first export out of Elsevier and then import into your school's platform.
See these guides:
How do I export a Canvas course? - Canvas Community (canvaslms.com)
How do I import a Canvas course export package? - Canvas Community (canvaslms.com)
I am unfamiliar with Elsevier's Canvas-based platform, but if it includes the functionality, you should be able to export your Elsevier course as an IMSC file, then import that file into your school's Canvas environment. If Elsevier does not let you create an export file, then you will need to contact them. The following guides will show you how to do this.....
Good luck,
Kelley

I understand how to import/export, but when I export the course from my Elsevier Canvas, where does it go to be stored/held? When I then go to our school Canvas and try to import the course, and use the search button, I can't find the exported course.
Oops, I figured it out. Thank you so much!
