[ARCHIVED] grading one question at a time in speed grader

How do I grade just one question in a quiz for all the students in speed grader? For example, the quiz has 4 questions.  I want just to grade the first question for all the students before moving onto the second question.  Does speed grader have that feature? or I must grade the entire quiz for one student before moving onto the next student?

While this is technically answered, I think the instructor is in for a rude awakening when they try to actually do this. It's super frustrating and really doesn't work. Lots of us have been asking for this feature to be fixed as it would make grading fairer and would save instructors a lot of time.

And it is only in Classic Quizzes. Why does an old system have features the new system doesn't??

6 months later, and here I am, searching for answers to the SAME question. And, yes, this question is *NOT* answered. It really is an embarrassment that Canvas does not have THIS feature implemented by default. How can you make a LEARNING management system devoid of such obvious and required features.?.

And 2 years later ... still not implemented in "new" quizzes?  Usually I associate good things with the word "new" but Canvas has completely changed that for me.  Embarrassing for sure.

Yes... STILL looking for this feature. Truly, Canvas is a disappointment. It was marketed as being better than Blackboard but in so many ways it is a step backwards. Sorry, but it's the truth.

I understand the frustration...as I've sometimes wanted to see things developed/implemented in Canvas that I think would be really beneficial to many people.  The Instructure Roadmap was just updated today...which you can "subscribe" to if you want:

I *think* one of the items under "Getting New Quizzes Migration Read" might be of interest to you.

Educators can save time, especially when re-grading by being able to jump to a single quiz item, and grade that same question across all students.
