how do I move course to archive it
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Sandy,
This depends on what you mean by archiving a course. You can delete a course, although we do not generally recommend that because once it is gone it is probably gone forever. You can also change the course end date or conclude the course to move it off your course list. If you are wanting to make an offline copy of your course content and structure and your institution has enabled offline content you can download content with dynamic links. You might also choose to create a course export file for later re-upload to Canvas or another standards compliant system by choosing "Export Course Content" from the course settings menu.

Our University data retention schedule requires us to retain courses/ student submissions for 2 years. At this time, we will begin deleting course shells that are more than 2 years old. We have some programs; however, that require instructors to retain student submissions for a much longer period. Having the ability to archive these courses complete with content, submissions, and interactions would be extremely helpful. The key is to retain student submissions. I have not yet found a way to do this. Is it possible?
Thank you!
