In quizzes, I created a quiz. When trying to upload it to a module, it does not appear in choices

This guide will get you there How do I add course content to a module?

Essentially........

Click the plus sign (+) at the right of the module title,
In the drop down box on the dialog frame that opens, choose Quiz,
Select the appropriate quiz.

It may be that you used New Quizzes instead of the legacy quiz tool. In that case, you would search "Assignments".
