I have used Canvas for a year. I want to seperate 1st and 2nd semesters. I know that I need to set up grade period. But I read that only Admin can do that. I am the only person of my school. I wonder how I can set up myself as Admin. Right now, there is no Admin icon on the left. Thanks.

Are you using a Free For Teachers account? If so, admin functionality is not available to users of the free version of Canvas. The  Canvas Account Comparisons PDF shows the features that are available to paid and free users respectively.

If you're using Canvas at a school that administers Canvas, please reach out to the local Canvas admin for the school or district to ask about setting up terms/semesters/grading periods.
