Canvas RSS Feed with iTunes Connect & Podcasts

How would I use the Canvas RSS Feed with iTunes Connect for my Podcast?

The reason I ask is because I would like to host my Podcasts in Canvas.  The biggest concern is access to the files inside Canvas, semester after semester.  In the past I have hosted the RSS Feed in SoundCloud for free.

Do you all have any experience or advice to assist me?

The only way I am familiar with in Canvas to host a Podcast would be using a discussion.  When you create a disucsion there is a little used checkbox to enable a podcast feed.  I've never used it before but I seem to recall this only really does anything if you attach media files to your posts.  So, you could try doing that and your discussion turns into your Podcast in the course and others should be able to subscribe to it.  Test it though; i've never actually done this but I think it's how it should work.

I also have the same question; I am confused as to the purpose of the "Podcast Feed". Is there a setting I am missing? Is this still part of the "beta" in the Discussion Redesign? I followed these instructions but as you can see from the pictures attached, it did not work. I appreciate the help!

I think the error message is associated with your course not being published yet.

I have spent a fair bit of time testing the Podcast feed option, and I really can't see any advantage when we have Studio in our Canvas environment. I had to Download and install iTunes, and I can see the Feed in iTunes but the recording doesn't seem to be playing. 

If recording in Studio, at least there is the option there for captions to be created as well as the media being right there in the course site, and staff and students can subscribe to the discussion feed in Canvas. 

Keen to hear if anyone is using Podcast Feed successfully and in what context.

Also - if I want to use a Podcasts app on my phone, I can't copy the URL for the Podcast Feed isn't visible so I can't copy and paste it into the Podcast app....
