Custom parameters with LTI 1.3

With LTI 1.1 when we added an external tool at the course level, we were able to add custom parameters into the Custom fields area. 

With LTI 1.3 when choosing the Client ID at the course level for adding the app, there isn't an equivalent field to populate with these custom parameters. 

Is there a different approach I could take?

@Eibhilin I'm facing a similar problem. Did you ever get a resolution to this to be able to set custom parameters at the assignment level?

Hi @Eibhilin and @rscott78,

Do either you happen to be programmer/API people?  If you are, I believe you can use the external_tools API to edit the config (adding custom parameters) after installing installing at in a course via the deployment id.  If it's a institution/school-installed tool, you could also add the custom parameters right into the developer key config.
