Error: file size exceeds quota

Hello,
I am trying to upload a recorded lesson to My Files for the coming week and keep receiving the above error, "Error: file size exceeds quota." I tried deleting some of the few files I have uploaded and this did not change.
At the bottom of the page, the amount of data keeps switching from "96% of 5.2 GB used" to "13% of 524.3 MB used." I am not sure what that means. I've continued to delete unnecessary files. Should I continue to do so to or do I have an alternative option? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!

This is what I found looking around in guides. I deleted some videos that I no longer needed and was able to upload the file I wanted to.
