Finding the Canvas Student App on the App Store

Hello, my name is Ana Baird, and I'm a student at San Joaquin Delta College. I'm trying to download the canvas student app on my iPhone version 11.4, but I can't find the app on the app store at all. How come? My teacher requires me to download that app on my phone, please help me. Thank you.

Nevermind, I found the solution to my problem. It turns out I was using an old version of iOS, which was iOS 8. I've recently updated my phone to iOS 13.3 and found the app on the app store, and I have just recently downloaded it. I'm posting my solution so other students with a similar problem may be able to solve it the same way I did. Thank you in advance for helping me anyway.
