Hidding Annotations Using iPad

Using an iPad, Teacher app to grade.

I hide the assignment, but once I make annotations and enter grade, the assignment automatically un-hides which makes my annotations now viewable by student.  I want it all to stay un-viewable to student until all submissions have been made and graded. 

Is this NOT possible using Canvas Teacher app on iPad?

Hello and welcome to the Canvas Community!

Hiding grades only hides grades you've already entered. It doesn't hide any grades you haven't yet put in. This is frustrating because none of the text really clearly states this!

What you want to do instead is set the assignment to a Manual Posting Policy. This will prevent students from seeing grades as you put them in. I can't find a guide for how to do this in the app though!

Note that a Manual Posting Policy won't hide the grades you put in before setting the policy; that's what hide grades is for.

• Hide grades - hides grades you entered in the past
• Manual Post Policy - hides grades you haven't entered yet

Hopefully that clears up a little of the confusion! Someone else might know if this is possible in the app!
