How do we make it so 2 teachers control the same class?

There are 2 of us who team teach and we both need to be able to add assignments, correct and respond

As long as one of you has teaching access to the classroom, they can add the other individual through the "People" tab in the course. Simply open the course, navigate to the People tab in that course, and then click on the +People button at the top-right of the page:

Typically I add users to courses through email (since the registered to Canvas with that credential) but you have a few options of how to add. Make sure on "Role" you select Teacher, and then choose the correct section. Once done, hit next to see a preview screen - if all looks good, click on the blue "Add Users" button.
