How do you add emojis to the titles of your course. I tried window button with >

Trying to add emoji to my titles. Curriculum said it was as simple as using window and >.  I also tried adding the keyboard...but its white with no keyboard.

If you have Windows 10 with the Fall Creators Update (released in Fall 2017) Windows system, then the keyboard shortcut is Win+. or Win+;

That is, hold down the Windows key while pressing period or semicolon. Do not hold the shift key down to get the greater than symbol >, just use Windows Key and either period or semicolon.

Mac users can use Command+Control+Space (according to the documentation I found, but I didn't verify it)

Another option that will work for everyone, not just modern Windows users, is to find your emoji in the Full Emoji List then select / copy it, switch to Canvas, and paste it in to the title.

I tried the window + . and it did not work. I will try the window + ; and see if that works. I did watch a video on line and cut and pasted. Not the best looking but worked for what I needed.

Hi all, thanks for comments so far. I have been able to paste standard emojis into my headers on canvas on a mac using ctrl/command/spacebar, no problem. However, does anyone know how I can paste custom emojis? Thanks!

I would imagine that the problem with custom emojis is that they might look differently on a mobile device than a PC or laptop. Even standard emojis don't always translate well.

I am late to the game, but I just learned about this.  When in the Chrome browser, in the RCE (Rich Content Editor) I can right-click (Win+Period keyboard shortcut), and then I select "Emoji" from the pop-up menu.  I can insert emojis in both content titles as well as the RCE box.

Also, yesterday I stumbled upon a free, new (at least new to me) LTI external tool called "Emoji Picker".  Similar to right-clicking in the RCE, it adds an "Emoji Picker" tool to the RCE (within the plug-in icon on the RCE).  The emojis available in "Emoji Picker" are nearly identical to those found by right-clicking in the RCE.  So, I'm not sure what the advantages would be to use this tool over what's already available by right-clicking in Chrome.
