Is it possible to import a Google or Outlook calendar into the Canvas calendar?

I see that Canvas calendar can be exported to outside calendars, but is it possible to import outside calendars into the Canvas calendar?

stefaniesanders‌ provide an answer to a similar question here Take Google Calendar and Import into Canvas?? .  At this time the, the export only goes one way.

There is a feature request out there right now as well https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/1203-import-calendar-from-ics-file .
