Late assignment notification for students

Is there a way to disable the notification pop-up that appears when students turn an assignment in late?  The message asks if the student is sure they want to turn in an assignment because it’s late, and it might discourage some students from turning in late work.

I just tested this several times under a couple different conditions in one of my sandboxes, and I got no form of a pop-up late notification asking if the test student still wanted to submit. In fact, all I got was the standard Late Submission indicator as shown in the image below, and it does not display until after the student has submitted.

Is this a third-party integration assignment, or could this be a customization of Canvas developed by your school? I ask, because this does not appear to be a Canvas function.
