Marine Biology Virtual Field Trips

I have an instructor who has asked me to look for some virtual field trips relating to Marine Biology. Where can I start my search?

I use virtual field trips all the time as Discussion forum topics with a preset series of questions the students must answer. I typically give them a choice of topics to research related to a specific area of study for the term, and often a specific website or a choice of websites. Sometimes, I ask them to find their own resources for researching a topic, then provide a review of the website that had the answers (again with specific questions I want answered about the website). Citations are always required, and students must review and comment on the postings/websites of their classmates.

I think National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration | U.S. Department of Commerce would be a great option! Some others might be:

• The Open Ocean ~ MarineBio Conservation Society 
• Friday Harbor Laboratories | Marine research and education in a one-of-a-kind community 
• Home | Marine Biological Association 
• Marine Biological Laboratory — Biological Discovery in Woods Hole 

Any good Google search can turn up hundreds, maybe even thousands of great websites!
