So, if a student wants to participate in a Blackboard discussion, they Create a Thread.
Is it correct that if they want to participate in a Canvas discussion, they Reply to the original question? And that this Reply is the same as and Initial Post in Blackboard? Thanks!

I'm actually not finding the Guides all that useful because the terminology is purely Canvas. I'll need to look for a Blackboard to Canvas transition guide. But telling me I summed it up perfectly did help to confirm what I eventually figured out by trial and error. I appreciate your help!

Blackboard discussion has 4 levels of organization:
1. Blackboard Discussion Board
2. Forums
3. Posts
4. Threaded replies to posts
a. without quoting
b. with quoting
Canvas is missing #1 and #2 and #4b.
