Unable to Add Outcomes to Item Bank Questions

I'm having an issue with New Quizzes, Item Banks, and Outcomes. I have about 20 Item Banks filled with a variety of questions. I'm trying to go back and add Outcomes to individual questions in the Item Banks. But I can't. When I go to add an Outcome to a question in the Item Bank I only see Outcomes from our district (which has none). If I create a new quiz question (not in an Item Bank), I can align Outcomes that I've made to that question, but I can't add Outcomes to questions in any of my Item Banks.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @joshuadavis 

Per the Instructor Guide, you cannot currently align an outcome with an item bank question item. You can aligh an outcome to the entire bank, or to an individual question item in an assessment in New Quizzes.

I strongly suspect that this is because the question items in an item bank could be used to measure achievement of different outcomes in even different courses.

You could create a new Idea Conversation for this functionality in this community.

I have the same questions as @kenny_mohar. When I read the suggested articles, they seem to apply only to individual quizzes, not to entire quiz/item banks.

This is not only something I want, it is something I need. My item banks are separated by outcome, so I only have one outcome for each bank, but I can't figure out how to assign the outcome to the bank.
